2017 COPP Conference Registration

The COPP Conference provides COPP group members, trainers and police liaison officers the opportunity to come together to learn, recognize the program’s volunteers and celebrate the accomplishments of the past year.

Who may attend?

Each group can send up to three delegates. In addition, Provincial Advisory Committee members, COPP trainers and group police liaison officers may attend.

All groups are required to submit VOLUNTEER and PATROL hours up to at least July 31, 2017 prior to registering.

Dates and Times:

Friday, October 13, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, October 14, 8 a.m. with the banquet reception starting at 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 15, 8 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Location:

Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites Hotel in Winnipeg (1800 Wellington Avenue).

Agenda:

Friday – Registration begins at 7 p.m. Enjoy local musical talent that highlights the diversity of our Canadian culture at 8 p.m.

Saturday – Presentations by RCMP, Winnipeg Police Manitoba Public Insurance and MLT Aikins law firm covering topics such as drugs in Manitoba, marijuana legalization, drug-impaired driving, privacy and observation. The evening is capped off with a formal banquet to celebrate another successful year.
COPP branded merchandise on sale at reduced prices.

Sunday – Breakfast and MB COPP AGM.

Accommodations:

Delegates travelling more than one hour from outside Winnipeg can stay at the Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites Hotel in Winnipeg (1800 Wellington Avenue) on the night of October 13 & 14. Manitoba COPP will cover the rental and taxes for one hotel room. Delegates will be responsible for personal amenities and additional charges to the room. To make special hotel accommodations, please contact Tracy Douglass. Non-member guests and children are welcome, but will be responsible for their own travel and meal expenses.

Transportation:

Manitoba COPP will cover mileage costs of COPP members to and from the hotel based on standard government rates.

Other transportation, such as flights, will need to be approved by the Provincial Coordinator and requested no later than September 13. Please contact Tracy Douglass to make those arrangements.

Cancellations:

To cancel or substitute your registration, please contact Tracy Douglass.

Cancellations will not be accepted after September 29, 2017. Registered delegates who do not provide a cancellation notice for their hotel room may be subject to a $100.00 fee.
